The Hybrid and Zero-Emission Truck and Bus Voucher Incentive
Project (HVIP) is a program created by the California Air Resources Board (ARB)
to help speed the early market adoption of clean, low-carbon hybrid and
zero-emission trucks and buses. HVIP helps fleet owners by reducing the cost of
these vehicles for business that purchase and operate these vehicles in the
State of California. The HVIP voucher can help to reduce about half the
incremental costs of purchasing hybrid and zero-emission medium-duty trucks
making the latest hybrid vehicles affordable and keeping California’s air
cleaner. HVIP program not only help fleets purchase vehicles affordably but
also promotes the increase of production of these vehicles.
